Hello Fashionistas! It’s time for the latest intel on Makeup. Yes ladies, it’s time to drain your wallets empty or maybe not. Because this time, I’m gonna throw light on some less expensive but equally good products. While most of us cannot afford expensive brands like Mac, Sephora or Chanel, there are suitable alternatives for their amazing products. So, without further ado, I present to you Save or Splurge: Makeup Edition.
1. Red Lipstick
Mac’s Lady Danger is one of the most demanded lipsticks among the shades of red. It has a great colour and texture (DUH!) and it’s so popular that eBay sells it for double or triple its price when other websites are running out of stock.
But you can substitute it with Maybelline’s Color Show Hot Chilli which is approximately 1/8th of its price and great too. Lady Danger costs over ₹2500 but Hot Chilli costs around ₹325.
It is advised to buy Mac products from the store as they cost you double or triple the price online.
2. Nude Eyeshadow
Nude Eyeshadow is a necessity for many of our fashionistas. Urban Decay and Nars are two of the most renowned brands in the world of eye shadows.
3. Lip Gloss
Our good friend, MAC, gives a long range of lip glosses to choose from. But they’re a bit expensive. Their Mac Pro Longwear Lipglass costs around ₹1800. A great substitution would be Chambor’s Glitzy Gloss range which costs around ₹650.
An even cheaper substitution would be Revlon’s Color Burst Lip Gloss which costs around ₹550.
NARS has a fabulous Radiant Creamy Concealer which blends very well. But it also has a fabulous price of ₹3000-10000. So, choosing a cheaper alternative would be a good decision. You can substitute it with Maybelline’s Dream Lumi Touch Concealer which costs around ₹600 only!
Mac’s Sheertone Shimmer Blush costs around ₹1500. Well, it would be good to substitute it with a cheaper alternative like Maybelline’s Cheeky Glow Blush. The Cheeky glow costs around ₹300, which is basically a bargain.
There you go, ladies. Here was the Save or Splurge: Makeup Edition. You can find most of them online and at a discounted rate, too! It’s time to take out your cards, ladies.
