5 Outfits To Choose From For A New Year’s Eve Party

New Year is just round the corner and we’ve already started putting our energy (and getting anxious) over what to wear on the night of the party. Well, worry no more for I have brought together FIVE outfit ideas made up from the clothes that you’re sure to have in your closet.

1. LBD

Little Black Dress

The Dress:

This is the safest and fail-proof outfit you can wear to any party. The simple yet bold look makes a huge statement if it is teamed with the right accessories. You can pair it with a belt, a coat for a more formal look, a jacket for a more casual look, a shrug or even an unbuttoned denim shirt for a starkly different kind of appearance.

The Accessories:

Keep the accessories plain, like a long chain with a pendant, a few plain rings, a bracelet or a watch. Whatever you go with, don’t over-do it. The earrings can be hoops or some tops, but they shouldn’t be too heavy lest they draw too much attention away from the dress. Contrasting colours like gold or silver are recommended. Carry a sequin-studded clutch purse to add extra glam to your outfit.

The Makeup:

The best thing to do for this look is to sport smoky eyes but a thick black winged liner on the upper lid would also work the similar charm if done right. Wear red matte lipstick to top it off if you’re going with the wings, else apply a nude lip colour.

2. Simple & chic

Simple & Chic

The Dress:
This is the most convenient outfit that you can wear to a casual New Year’s Party. Wear a pastel colour crop-top sweater and some nice fitting leggings or skin fitted jeans of a much darker shade. You can wear your combat boots to spice up the chic look with some boldness.

The Accessories:
If the neckline of the sweater is the same as that in the image, a collar necklace would be subtle but if you don’t have it, don’t panic, it’s just about fine to not have a necklace at all. Wear golden hoops, which will go with almost any pastel colour.  Tease your hair into curls and let them fall casually without a worry about keeping them into place.

The Makeup:
Keep the look sober and neat with the old and favourite winged liner and red matte lip colour and that is all you need to pull this look off successfully.

3. The Office Party

The Dress:
Wear the classy jumpsuit which is plain and has preferably no shine at all. Pair it with a coat of a bright shade to keep it elegantly formal and yet trendy enough to be called a party wear and not an outfit that you would wear to a meeting on Thursdays. Slip into some closed-toe-stilettos and voila! You’re dressed right for the night.

The Accessories:

You can wear ear cuffs if they aren’t too flashy, or go with tops that match the colour of your coat or shoes. Your hair would look best in a high ponytail which will give you the chance to show off your ear cuffs and also a hassle-free hairstyle that doesn’t need hours of prepping. Leave it down for a more carefree and casual look.

The Makeup:
Your eyes can have a thin top lid and bottom lid liner, the usual, but to play different you can go for brown eyeliner and smudge it a little before defining it in a fine line with black kohl. You can experiment a little with golden eyeliner too, although hold yourself back if you haven’t tried it before. Apply colourless lip gloss to keep your lips supple or use nude lipstick shades.

4. Biker Diva

The Dress:

If you are somebody like me who would prefer jeans over anything else; it’s time we make this hipper than it is. Wear stripes coupled with a nice and fitting leather jacket which isn’t scrawny in its couture. Go for jeans that are ripped to give you the edge you might need on a wild party night. Again, you can wear combat boots or any other kinds of shoes, including sneakers (yes, you read that right. Sneakers are allowed) to look as casual as possible.

The Accessories:

If you’re too lazy to mix and match, this is the one you would want to wear to a party. Don’t bother about earrings or necklaces, just wear a watch a couple of wrists band and you’re set!

The Makeup:

You can pull off this outfit successfully the grunge style or the clean style. For the grunge look, just let your hair messy, your eyes smoky and your lips dark. For the clean look, tone down the eyes a bit and define your hair to some extent. The lips can be playfully dark in all the styles.

5. The Up-All Nighter

The Up All Nighter

The Dress:
It doesn’t matter what type your top is; make it full of life by wearing something that’s studded with sequin. It’s the party season and this is what all the designers have been talking about. Wear a pair of leggings or leather trousers with a pair of stylish pumps or stilettos.

The Accessories:
Wear a necklace that suits the neckline of your top. Wear earrings that dangle and go well with the colour of the sequin of your top. Your accessories don’t have to be very elaborate because the bling in your top is already attracting a lot of attention. You have the freedom to keep your hair as you like it because it is tested; straight, wavy, curly, hair tied up or hair let down, everything goes fine with this look. Add a black sling purse if you want to.

The Makeup:
You can try and experiment with grey eyeliner or blue ones, but if nothing works well, bold and black is always there to save the day! I’ve been recommending this since the past four outfits but go for the red tones for your lips because it is not only in right now but also exudes confidence.

So there you are! The five lifesaving outfits that you can try and experiment with, with the clothes you have at home to have a great time on New Year’s Eve Party without having to spend much of your time or money on deciding what you want to wear.
