6 Hair Makeovers That Will Change Your Avatar

If your hairstyle can say a lot about your personality, so can your hair in its unstyled form. If you have the same haircut for months and months or years and years it gets monotonous. It’s time to get experimental. I know, I know about the fear that comes with experimenting with your hair, but once you take the leap, there’s no looking back. So, I’ve brought to you 6 tried and tested coiffures that will absolutely change the way you look and will make you feel more confident and alive!

1. The One Side Buzz-Cut (Undercut)

This looks so good if you want to look grunge and rebellious. It automatically starts to say that you don’t like to play by the rules and you are not someone to be messed with. It looks wild and can be experimented with in several ways like shaving an entire half off or shave just a few inches on one side and set your hair wild and loose on the other. This comes with a disclaimer, though. The one undercut is a big step because when your hair starts to grow, it is massively uneven. This cannot be reversed like a bad hair dye experiment.  Artists like Rihanna, Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato have been sporting this look for about two years now.

2.  Fringes

This is one short trip to the salon and you can instantly look younger and playful with bouncy fringes rocking off your forehead. The greatest thing with these fringes is that you can tease them to the side or clip them in a pouf and it will look different every time. Taylor Swift was one artist who redefined her entire appearance after she got rid of the mop of curls that she was famous for since 2007 and replaced it with her fringes in 2012.

3. Ombre

Dying your hair ombre basically means your lower half of the hair is of a lighter colour than the roots of you hair and it blends in gradually with the top half as it progresses upwards. It looks very naturally exotic and not at all revolting. In simpler words, it is the same as dip dyeing but with more natural and lighter tones. This will give you a distinctively unique look and you would not have to be worried about looking objectionable at your workplace. You get to look beautiful and elegant and get to live the thrill of dyeing your hair too! Khloe Kardashian from the “Keeping up with the Kardashian’s” fame absolutely kills this look.

4. Dip- dye Your Hair An Unnatural Colour

This is my personal favourite. When you dip dye your hair an unnatural colour, it doesn’t only peek-a-boo playfully but also doesn’t look overdone and you can always cover it up if it gets messed up or get the dyed ends cut off. Contrasting colours like hot pink or blue are the best choices for dip dyed ends on naturally dark hair. You can get this done at a salon or even at home by following the tutorials available online. British girl band Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall in the past have had pink and blue dyed ends respectively. Jesy Nelson of the same girl-band has pulled off the red-dyed ends quite successfully.

5. Globally Colour Your Hair

Yeah! Go for it! Go for almost-natural shades like red or burgundy or colours that will be seen only when you stand against the light, like purple or bright colours like blue or lavender that will make everyone do a double take as they spot you wherever you go. Ariana Grande had the red hair when she was on teen’s TV show Sam and Cat that aired on Nickelodeon before she began her solo music career. Newly risen to fame singer Halsey is much talked about because of her bright aqua blue hair.

6. Chop Your Hair Off!!

Cutting your hair short has no disadvantages. Your shampoo will last longer, your hair fall will reduce tremendously and you would not have to be worried about ruining your hairstyle because there won’t be any; other than your hair let down! Before getting the pixie haircut with the undercut, Miley Cyrus opted for a bob cut first. Taylor Swift slayed the look by getting the bob cut in 2014 which did not only mark a change in her personality but also changed the kind of music she made. 2014-15 were the years where even Bollywood saw stars like Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Sharma getting short hair. Jennifer Lawrence and Shailene Woodley also shed quite a lot of inches of hair and got the pixie cut.

These are six ways to transform your look for once and transform your life forever! Go ahead and give them a try!
