We have to admit- it’s great to open Christmas presents given to you by loved ones. The sound of crumpling wrapping paper and the smell of Christmas trees.. It’s definitely enthralling. But sometimes (just sometimes), a few of those gifts end up being something we don’t need or necessarily like. The idea of gifting yourself is genius as you are sure you will be satisfied and happy with your gifts. Even though there isn’t much thought or surprise involved, it’s an excuse to splurge a little on yourself without any guilt!
Here are 7 beauty products you should check into your self-gift cart.
1. Street Wear Color Rich Ultra Moist Lipstick:
I tried these out recently and I have to tell you, they are amazing for their rate. They are hydrating and I assure you that you won’t be seeing any chapped lips after applying it. They also come in lovely shades (Fire Your Ex and XOXO being my favourites), and I absolutely love the product names!
2. Maybelline White Super Fresh Compact:
This product released only this year and has been flying off the shelves ever since. Again, it is highly affordable and works beautifully on any skin tone. There are three shades available namely Pearl, Shell and Coral. It keeps you fresh throughout the day and has a nice simple packaging.
3. Rimmel ScandalEyes Retro Glam Mascara:
This is my go-to mascara as it’s waterproof and that’s a huge pro. It also does not clump your lashes but adds a lot of volume in just one coat. The packaging is great(love the hourglass brush) and it comes off easily at the end of the day. It’s a total win product.
4. MAC All Blending Sponge:
Using a sponge to blend your foundation and concealer is an amazing invention and we should all try it out. This sponge has a flat base but also a tapered end which is super for tiny corners and small corrections. This particular product might be quite pricey for some, but there are great sponges by other brands which are worth checking out.
5. Florentyna by Marks and Spencer:
I love love love this perfume! At the first try, I thought it to be quite strong but it stays for hours and has a lovely vintage floral scent. I think this a classy fragrance for women and a perfect Christmas present for yourself.
6. Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Pallete 3:
Do I even have to talk about this? This pallete speaks for itself with its highly pigmented, soft, blendable shades which mostly play around pink and brown. It’s a lovely product but sadly, very pricey. So if any of you out there want to splurge, this is the time! The packaging in rose gold metal really makes it worth all the money spent too.
7. A Makeup Bag:
Because you need to put all your precious products into a lovely bag! These makeup pouches by Zoella are my personal favourite but are hard to get a hold of as they are available only in the UK. But there are loads of shops and sites that sell adorable ones, so be sure to find and buy.
It’s the season of giving to people you love the most, and that’s you! Merry Christmas!
