The grand finalé of Lakmé Fashion Week 2015, witnessed the collection of one of the most talented designers of the country- “Anamika Khanna”. The theme for summer collection in the words of Anamika is “sculpt” that is a contrast of sculpting and fluidity, stronger and lighter, construction and deconstruction. “It is an eclectic mix of construction and deconstruction and I have played a lot with drapes, Indian dhotis and long flowy jackets – all silhouettes that truly capture my vision of Sculpt,” says Anamika Khanna.

She created white magic out of the fabrics like silk dupions, organza and pure silk in this latest summer collection. Colors like ivory going into metallics and gunmetal, a dash of soft pink and a deep blue too. Playing with subtle yet exciting colors make her collection look even more remarkable. The sizzling appearances by the models and the light effects took the heart away and left the eyes mesmerized with the crisp and strong aesthetics.

Her experimental ways of playing with fabrics like silk and organza at the same time creates an amusing appeal to like, love and adore the creations by the designer. For framing the intricate embroidery, Anamika Khanna selects the fabrics that totally balance the looks and the designs. She used moldable fabrics and contrasted them with softer and more fluid fabrics like organza and silk.

Deepika Padukone walked for Anamika Khanna at Lakmé Fashion Week 2015. She wore luscious ensemble , a crop top, wide–legged pants and a sheer cape featuring a gold Egyptian style collar. She finished out the look with smokey eyes, sleek side-parted ponytail and Valliyan earrings.

Kareena Kapoor, in her usual and stunning style rocked the show and got everyone’s eyes rolling. She wore a white ensemble with heavy embroidery on it and shined like a real diva on the ramp! Kudos, Anamika Khanna!
