It is true that colourful, bright or floral outfits appear pretty and appeal to the eyes, but black and white combinations add a touch of magic to that appeal. And the best part, colourful clothes may usually look good only on young people, while black and white go beyond the boundaries of age and sex.
These two colours are so fundamental that they are not truly ‘colours’. They are formed by reflecting some light wavelengths and absorbing others. So basically, black absorbs all light, and white reflects all light. That is why they attract attention and make heads turn 😉
The best way to harmonize a black and white combination is to add a tinge of bright, bold colour. But, remember, only a tinge. Something like a scarf, shoes or handbag in a bright colour should do the trick. Or in our case, a pretty little pink tiara! This adds the eye-catching contrast to your black-and-white dress.
In the pictures here, the girl is wearing a crisp white shirt from Only with black leather jeggings from Pimkie and black diamond studded heels from Kin’s. She has complemented the black and white combo with a pink tiara and sky blue feather tassels, to complete her city-girl-go-everywhere look!
Since it’s a black and white combination with very little bold colour, she has balanced it with a little bold make-up. She has used:
Oriflame’s Giordani Gold Firming Foundation in Natural Beige colour;
Maybelline’s Dream Touch Blush;
Maybelline Dream Satin Skin compact powder;
Maybelline’s Everlasting Drama Gel Eyeliner;
Maybelline’s Eye Studio Colour Tattoo eye shadow in the colour Tenacious Teal;
Colorbar’s Take Me As I Am crayon lipstick in the colour Sensuous Red
