Are you facing that day when you have an event or perhaps a party to attend and you happen have a pimple come by knocking your door that morning? Don’t be disheartened as I have come to rescue you! Being an acne recoverer myself there have been many instances in my life where I have had breakouts on a big day, at first I would try to cover it out with tons of concealer and make-up but that always resulted in me having patchy make up all over my face and bumpy skin. Having experienced the embarrassment I learnt to tackle the mighty zit with a few things lying at home. So here are my tips to break free from the the pimple-horror!
1) WASH AND EXFOLIATE
Sometimes incoming zits can vanish with the simple step of washing and exfoliating. Take a squirt of your favorite exfoliator and add a few sugar grains in it to increase its abrasion, then thoroughly work it into your skin and pimple are to remove the fluid inside the pimple to prevent it from enlarging, massage in circular motion for about 5 mins, wash it out with luke warm water and pat skin dry with a wash cloth. Take a cleansing face wash (preferably acne removing) and thoroughly wash your face massaging it inside out in circular motions and wash it out with cold water. The cold water will close your pore so that any product applied later will not clog the pores.
2) USE A CUBE OF ICE
If there is intense red-ness around your pimple area take a cube of ice and hold in contact with the area for 10 seconds and repeat till your skin is numb and the redness has disappeared.
Take a pea-sized amount of your toothpaste in your finger and dab it on the pimple area and leave it for 15 mins or better yet apply a toothpaste mask. Then take a wash cloth dipped in hot water and clean it off. Use an ice cube to remove and redness and irritation.
Take a tablet of aspirin and crush it. Mix it with a few drops of water to make a paste. Apply the paste on the affected area and let it dry. After it dries wash your face with luke warm water. It dries out the pimple completely.
5) LEMON / ORANGE PEEL
Take a lemon/orange peel and cut it into pieces and massage the inner part of the peel in the affected region for a good amount of time. Make sure you use a different peel for different spots as it can cause bacterial infection.
Try these methods and VOILA! All acne gone within moments. Now remember that these are only spot-instant treatments and are extremely powerful. It is important to avoid spot treatment on a daily basis as it is not a prevention for any future acne. Alway remember to follow a daily skin care routine to prevent any surprise breakouts.
SOME DOs and DON’Ts ARE:
1)It is necessary to cleanse your face at least twice a day to keep it hydrated and germ free. Have a healthy and balanced diet and have tons of water to keep your skin glowing and hydrated and prevent pimples.
2)Do not wash your face too often as doing so can result in extremely dry and patchy skin.
3)Always remember to remove your makeup before you sleep as it clogs pores and causes breakouts.
4)Always use a heavy duty moisturizer by night to give your skin the nutrition it needs.
5) Follow in with an exfoliating and mask treatment for your face every once a week to pamper it and keep it healthy.
Say NO to ACNE and YES to healthy and glowing skin!
