Elie Saab is redefining fashion the Lebanese way and we are so not complaining! Elie Saab Fall 2015 Couture is hand embroidery to perfection and will take you the next level of a perfect fairy tale gown, it will totally make Cinderella envious. In my personal opinion, I haven’t found even one dress that doesn’t makes me want it. With him on this track, the day is not far when Lebanon will be the new Paris or maybe is already! *fist pumps*
From lace to embellishments to the gold eye makeup everything was perfect. This collection was a mirror image of royalty and sophistication clubbed in one.
As a tradition in Saab’s haute couture focus was given to the eyes with bold, fierce looks yet some innocence in them. The makeup used was from MAC and the eyeshadow ranged from golden to honey.
The Lebanese couturier’s notes said that he was inspired by his wife’s wedding gown which was his creation, 25 years back who walked the aisle on July 4th.
The show also celebrated the opening of their second boutique in Paris.
Apart from the flattering golden hues (preferable to the jewel tones he also used), what was different in this Elie Saab collection from other ones was the generally light pinch he used with embellishments and an aura that was usually more innocent but this time it was innocent yet fierce and empowering.
The use of headgear, shoes and hand bracelets only added more to the royal theme.
The semi transparent gowns were adorned with exquisite hand embroidery and embellishments( must for Saab).
Once the show finally started, there was no shortage of gold, the inspiration for the show, and the common thread across the parade of gauzy evening finery, embellished to coronation-worthy degrees with elaborate embroideries and even mink trim at the shoulders.
If this is not fairy tale is to you then I don’t know what is! The show was marvelous as ever and if you need to catch all the last updates from Elie Saab follow him on Instagram and Facebook. If you can’t satiate yourself then, add them on Snapchat at eliesaablive.
