Squeeze out the extract of lemon and apply it on the dark spots with the help of cotton balls. The best results will be yielded when the application is repeated on every second day .

Honey & Cinnamon Mixture

Honey is sticky, and cinnamon is spicy, and it seems like they’re both things you’d want to avoid getting near your skin. Surprisingly, while it may sound strange, honey and cinnamon make a (literally) killer combo when it comes to acne. Cinnamon has antimicrobial properties, so it can help stop bacteria from getting out of hand. If it does, the honey is a natural anti-biotic, ready and waiting to wipe the little buggers out.  Mix two tablespoons of honey and one tablespoon of cinnamon and apply it to face and leave it for around 15 min , then Rinse of completely .

Coconut Water

Cut a fresh green coconut and pour the water into a bowl.Dip a cotton ball into this coconut water and gently wipe all over the affected area.Repeat for 4 to 5 times.Rinse using lukewarm water.Coconut water contains cytokines and lauric acid that prevents ageing, eliminates stubborn dark spots, prevents the growth of acne and pimples.Regular use makes your skin smooth and blemish free.

Aloe vera Gel


Aloe vera is widely used for Acne treatments . Simply cut an aloe vera leaf and remove the inner gel into a bowl . Take small amount of this gel on your palms and gently massage in upward strokes, especially to the affected areas for 10 minutes . Wash your face with lukewarm water. A review of academic literature notes that its inclusion in many hygiene products is due to its “moisturizing emollient effect” .  If you have difficulties in getting the aloe vera plant then you can use the ready-made aloe vera gel that is easily available in the market .

Baking Soda

Baking soda is a common household item with literally hundreds of uses , including the ability to help heal scars . It is one of the most effective remedy . Baking soda is composed of sodium bicarbonate  which gently exfoliate skin when used as a cleansing scrub .  Just mix a few teaspoons of baking soda with enough water to form a thick paste then massage it to  skin where scars are present. Once applied , you should leave the mixture on for a minute or two. This will allow the soda to cleanse pores and help prevent further blemishes .  After a couple of minutes  , wash your face with  lukewarm water .




Potatoes aren’t only good for making creamy mashed potatoes , the acids found in potatoes make them great for treating acne . Wash your face with water and pat almost dry , leaving it a bit damp . Grate 1 raw potato and rub the pulp and juice onto your face for a few minutes in a circular motion. Let it dry for 15-30 minutes, and then rinse off completely with warm water .




Oatmeal is a good breakfast item to eat in the morning and get your day started .  However, oatmeal also has some great skin benefits including moisturizing, pore cleansing etc .  Apply an oatmeal face mask in order to get rid of the dark spots. Prepare a paste using oatmeal and Honey  .  Apply this paste on the face as a mask and scrub it gently . Wash it off with warm water. Follow the procedure twice every week for immediate relief .



Milk lightens the facial spots . The lactic acid present in milk soothes and calms the skin. Use cold raw milk to apply on face . Dip a cotton ball into the milk and apply it all over the face . Leave it on for 15 minutes and wash with warm water. Do this every day in the morning time .

Orange peel


Orange contains large amounts of citric acid and vitamin C , which refreshes skin and relieves the acne . The orange peel as well as its juice can be used to treat acne and pimples . Grind a few pieces of the orange peel to from a paste . Apply all over the face and leave it for 15 minutes . Rinse off with cool water .

Sandal Wood Powder


Apply sandalwood  powder mixed with rose water all over your face .  And let it dry for some time  .  Next , dampen the dry sandalwood face mask by spraying a little water over it . Then , rub gently to remove the mask . This face mask helps to cure all types of facial blemishes and it removes the prickly heat fast triggered by excessive sweating . This face mask has drying effects on the skin. If your skin is dry , then you can use milk in place of rose water .
