1) Take care of your diet  –

Don’t have a heavy dinner as you might feel discomfort which will interrupt your sleep. Prevent drinking before going to the bed as you might need to wake up in the middle of the night, disrupting your sleep. Nicotine, caffeine deserve caution, too. The stimulating effects of nicotine and caffeine take hours to wear off and can wreak havoc on quality sleep.

2) Get away from electronic products –

Products such as televisions, mobile phones, or computers are said to radiate blue light. This blue light may interfere with your sleep. Turn off blue light produces one hour before you go to bed. Cover any blue displays which you can’t shut off.

3) Exercise daily –

Exercising is the best way to get sleep doesn’t matter if its light or vigorous. You can exercise at anytime of the day and get your sleep.

4) Avoid daytime/ power naps –

Well power naps may feel like a good idea and help you get through the rest of the day but it may interfere with your sleep schedules. So try eliminating even the small cat naps.

5) Manage stress –

Restore peace. Set priorities and delegate task. Let yourself relax when tired. Before bed note down whats in your mind for tomorrow and then keep it aside. These small steps will help lower stress levels which will lead to a good sleep.

6) Have a regular bedtime –

Choose a time when you normally feel tired and go to bed at that time regularly. Don’t break this routine even on weekends.
