The first thing which we often notice on someone else is their skin. Its very rare that we meet people with the perfect skin or the perfect glow. Moreover most of the time we have only seen such people in advertisements. Ever wondered how to get that perfect skin NATURALLY? Then let me tell you, YOGA is the way!
The word Yoga is magical. Yoga defines itself as a science. It is an Indian practical, methodical, and systematic discipline or set of techniques that have the loft goal of helping human beings to become aware of their deepest nature.
Yoga asanas help increase blood circulation and reduce toxins from the body. They help to increase blood supply which helps skin glow. Here are few asanas and breathing exercises which you can try at home :
1) Surya Namashkar
This is the mother of all asanas. Surya Namaskar involves 12 postures (as you can see in the picture). These yoga poses de-stresses, removes toxins and is an amazing relaxation exercise. So you can obviously expect your skin to glow if you perform it regularly.
2) The Cobra pose –
The cobra pose, or Bhujangasana, is a back bend that stretches muscles on the front of the torso and strengthens your arms and shoulders.
-Lie on the floor on a yoga mat with face down and palms flat which should be placed beneath your shoulders.
-Engage your abs by tilting your pelvis and drawing your belly button toward your spine.
-Spread your fingers and press your palms into the floor.
-Push your upper body off the floor and straighten your arms as much as is comfortable while keeping your hips, legs and feet planted on the mat.
-Hold for 5 full breaths then release.
3) The Bow pose –
The bow pose, is also known as Dhanurvakrasana
–Lie down flat, on your stomach with legs stretched out and arms by your side.
-Bend your legs and catch your ankles. Simultaneously, pull your ankles and raise your legs.
-Inhaling, raise your head and neck upward. Hold the position.
-Exhaling, return to the starting position.
4) Kapalbhatti –
-Take a deep breath.
-Forcefully exhale through your nose rhythmically.
5) Shavasana –
It is also known as the corpse pose.
-Lie down on the floor straight and close your eyes.
-Relax and throw out all the negative thoughts and tension. Think positive.
-Now, stand up straight with your legs apart. Cover your face with your hands and take 10 quick breaths.
-Rub the skin on your eyes, forehead and face. Again take 10 quick breaths. Then rub entire face with your fingers.
Also, you can try meditating. Meditating twice a day, every day even if it’s just for 10 minutes can help ease your stress. “The more you do, the more you will radiate from within,” says Danswan.
